Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Solutions Group Unlimited, LLC ("SGU", "we", "us") collects through solutionsgroupunlimited.com and through our desktop software (GitRepoWatcher, SvcSentinel and our other Windows applications), what we use it for, and who else sees it. We do not sell personal information.

Our desktop software

Our applications do their work on your computer. They do not upload your files, repositories, service lists, or settings to us. The only information that leaves your computer is described below.

License checks (all paid and trial products)

When you start a trial, activate a license, or the app re-checks that your license is still valid, it contacts our licensing service and sends:

• the license key and, when you activate, the email address the license was purchased with;
• the product name and application version;
• an identifier for your computer, which is a one-way hash of the Windows machine ID combined with the product name (the raw Windows machine ID is never sent), and the computer's name.

We use this to confirm the license is valid, to tie a purchased license to the computer it is installed on, to end a license that has been refunded, and to prevent trial abuse. Between checks the app works offline.

Free trial email. To start a free trial you enter your email address. Besides running the trial, we use it to send you news and offers about the product you tried. Every message has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us at the address below to remove you.

Error reports (SvcSentinel)

SvcSentinel sends error-level diagnostic messages to our log service so we can fix problems. Each report includes the application name and version, the computer's name, and the text of the error. It does not include your Windows user name. Notification emails that SvcSentinel sends about your own services go through the mail server you configure, not through us.

GitRepoWatcher

GitRepoWatcher reads the Git repositories you point it at, on your computer only. Repository names, paths and contents are never sent to us. The only network traffic is the license check described above.

This website

• Account: if you create an account we store your name, email address, a salted hash of your password (we cannot read your password), and the IP address you signed up from.
• Purchases: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We keep a record of what was purchased, when, the amount, and the email and billing country used, so we can issue and manage your license keys and calculate sales tax.
• Contact messages: if you write to us we keep your message and email address to respond.
• Cookies: we use cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
• Server logs: our servers record technical details of requests (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business: Stripe (payments and sales tax), our hosting and email providers, and our log service (used for the error reports above). They may use the information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

License and purchase records are kept for as long as the license exists and afterward as needed for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes. Error reports are kept only as long as needed to diagnose problems. Contact messages are kept until the matter is resolved.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, including closing your account, by emailing the address below. Uninstalling an application stops all communication from it. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
